AI Diagnostics: Erasmus Transplant Rejection Prediction using Deepcell

A transplanted organ saves a life—but keeping it safe often means puncturing it, repeatedly.At Erasmus MC, cardiologist Dr. Olivier Manintveld and his team are exploring a new path: replacing much of the biopsy burden with something simpler and more humane: a non-invasive blood draw guided by AI. Using Deepcell’s REM-I, Erasmus MC is mapping millions of immune cells directly from blood, label-free, and uncovering subtle signatures of rejection before they become clinical crises.
